(TGA) - We are two sisters plus husband touring mainly Ohio but will be in Wheeling late April.
Can you suggest antiques shoppes, glass factories (I believe there are some in Bellaire, OH) and flea markets.
Can you explain more about the State Pen please?
Also, does the ferry run at Sistersville? The road along the river looks wonderful.
And thanks for the input on Italian food. Looks like we shall check that out. Also, where is the best pie?
Thanks in advance,
LadyFeathers

Here is a link to the state pen tours that might help you out.

Also, here is a link to the visitors' bureau that might help. I have only been to Wheeling a couple of times so can't offer much personal insight.

While in Wheeling don't miss the Center Market or Oglebay Park. The Center Market (centremarket.net) has eclectic shops and restaurants including art, antiques, and Oliver's Pie Shop. Oglebay Park (oglebay-resort.com) has a glass museum, glass workshops, and glass in the shops, as well as a mansion to tour, gardens, restaurants, spa, etc. Things will be blooming by then too :)

Don't know if this will fit your schedule, but the annual antigue show and sale will be held at Ogleby Lodge in Wheeling on April 10 and 11. We have gone for years and it is a very nice show.
