(TGA) - Which would be the better route? Does it depend on the time (traffic)? According to google, it looks like AZ-101 is longer, but faster.

It depends mostly on where exactly in PV you're starting from because, in many instances, it's faster to take the 51 freeway up there. I would choose Tatum over Scottsdale Road anyway, just because Scottsdale Road has a ton of signals and traffic.

I would get over to the 101. Not the shortest way but Scottsdale Road has way too many lights to be useful.
