(TGA) - Just spent a weekend at the Big Texas Inn in Kerrville, TX and would definetly NOT recommend this motel to travelers thinking that this "NEWLY RENNOVATED" motel has anything more to offer than a place to crash.
Seems they cater to mostly transient workers, staying on an extended stay, and blue collar, who don't care about 'service'.
The rooms were unclean (ours had splatter stains on the wash basin mirror, pee dribble on the toilet bowl, an empty toilet paper roll, and a dirtly carpet when we checked in.
Daily room maintenance is left up to the travelers, as when we returned to the room after 11 PM, no one had even as much as stepped into the room to see if there was anything we needed.
The trash was not emptied, the bed not made, clean towels were not supplied, etc. as is NOT the case in ANY motel with a credible rating.
The 'free' steak dinner offered as a 'come on', was unavailable at the time specified, due to the fact that the cook went home EARLY.
The continental breakfast consisted of stale cereal, out of date dairy products, and a minimal selection of bagels with butter and cheap jelly products. One urn of coffee available, and it was mostly dry by the 8:30AM hour.
On a rating of 1-10, I'd have to give it a 'flop house' rating.......
