Califonia , Las Vegas, Grand Canyon in 6.5 days

(TGA) - Travel - Hey,
My parents are visiting US next month.
We planning to visit Las Vegas, Grand Canyon and California.
So what should be my starting point (i.e. landing airport)?
In CA, I really want to show universal studios, sea world, golden gate, and some great road drives. :)
As my parents are in their 60's they cant really walk long distances/ sit for long drives.
So can you guys please help me figure the best itinerary.
If you think, as per this time frame we need to remove some places, please advice!
Thanks
Jay

Do you only have a total of 6.5 days to see everything? That is not really enough time.
What do you mean by "golden gate"? In San Francisco? That is 500 miles away from Los Angeles . . .

ya.. golden gate in san fran..
if you think, this will be hectic, please suggest how should i plan?
In order to cover San fran, how many days should i plan?
Thanks
Jack

To get a reasonable "view" of some of these cities, I'd recommend at least 2 full days, preferably 3. So that's 3 days in San Francisco (Alcatraz, cable cars, Golden Gate Bridge, cool museums, tours, etc), 3 days to drive beautiful the Hwy 1 coastline (Monterey, Aquarium, Big Sur, Hearst Castle), 3 days in L.A. (Universal, whatever else), 2 days in San Diego (Sea World, downtown), 2 days for the Grand Canyon (drive and an overnight), and 3 days in Las Vegas (doing whatever people enjoy there... not my cup of tea.) Adding in the travel time from San Diego to Las Vegas, this is about 17 days, and I shorted San Diego a day.

Yes, and you'll miss Yosemite and Death Valley just to name a few places.
Jack or Jay, you'll need 14 days the very least......starting San Francisco and leaving from Las Vegas.

Thank y'all for taking some time.
By looking at your replies, i'm thinking of extending my stay in CA by another 2 days, by reducing a couple of days from my Colorado's schedule.
My rough plan is...
06/01 - Land in Denver
06/02 - royal gorge,CO
06/03 - aspen,CO.. come back to denver on 04 afternoon..
06/04 - afternoon - grad walk. (in denver)
06/05 - fly to LA ( did not book this flight...)
thinking of covering LA -> SF -> LA
(As of now, planning to store Grand Canyon, LV to my next trip)
06/13 - fly back to home.
So is LA the best place to land ?
If it is LA, which one is the best route for a round-trip?
Do you suggest a round-trip?
The only reason, i'm going with a round trip is... I think dropping my rental car in a different location would be costly!!
So am I thinking correctly? Please help me out planning my trip.
Thanks
Jack.

Hi
Another option is to fly Phoenix from Denver, Rent a car and drive to GCNP (4 hours, but longer if you want to take the scenic stretch via Sedona). Then a visit to GCNP and drive to Las Vegas after that. GC to Las Vegas is 5 hours.
1. Denver-Phoenix
2. Phoenix-GCNP
3. GCNP-Las Vegas
4. Las Vegas
5. Las vegas-Los Angeles (5 hours drive)
6 Los Angeles7. Los Angeles-hw1 to Cambria
7. Cambria to San Francisco
8. San Francisco
9. Flight from SF.
There prob will be drop off charges.
If you want to visit more LA/SD attractions I'd skip SF and concentrate on LA and San Diego.
Including San Francisco and more time for LA/SD, flying LA will be a good idea. Take at least 2 days for the drive between LA and SF though. Very scenic esp. between Cambria and Monterey/Carmel. You can stay LA/SD for 3 days, 2 days between LA and SF and 3 days for SF.
Have you thought of visiting Rocky Mountains NP in Colorado? Close to Denver. (But Trail Ridge Road still can be closed) Or drive down Colorado Springs, see Garden of the Gods, drive up Pikes Pick (or take the railway) and to Royal Gorge Bridge then.
If you go to Aspen check conditon for passes first. We had Independence pass closed on one of our visits.
