(TGA) - Travel -
Flat Stanley here in the capital of
Portugal. The city is called , but in Portugal they say Lisboa. The port is very busy with
containers from all over the world bringing stuff here on a barge.
The ship docked right by all these shipping containers.
Portugal is part of the European Union
and their money is the Euro. I saw some Portuguese signs today and
took my picture with them.
The weather here is like a warm spring
day in Minnesota. Lots of local people were out biking, running,
fishing along the water front, and walking.
I ate Nestle Ice Cream on a stick
today. The ice cream tasted yummy and the wrapper was in Portuguese.
Portuguese is like Spanish in some words, but very different also.
Tomorrow we will sail to Cadiz, Spain
where we will dock overnight.
After eight days sailing across the
Atlantic I am excited to see Europe! I hope you enjoy traveling with
me as well.
Bye until next time,
F.S.
