(TGA) - Hi,
We are considering taking a trip to Luxembourg for a Christmas market at the start of December.
Does anyone have any comments or observations about the events that take place in Luxembourg and any honest opinions on whether it is worth taking a long weekend trip from the UK?
We have been to the Christmas markets in Bruges and Brussels before (very enjoyable) and was thinking about Germany this time round but I wanted to gauge opinion about Luxembourg.
Many thanks
Kevin

Hello Kevin,
There is a Christmas market in Luxembourg and it some fun with the food and hot wine. However I live only 15 minutes away and can not honestly advise a weekend in Luxembourg just for the market.
A weekend in the summer is a different matter and you should come here at some time.

You can combine your visit to Luxembourg with a short trip to the Christmas markets in nearby Trier and Metz and why not give it a push and include Nancy !

I think you'd be better off with the Christmas market in Cologne Germany. I live in Luxembourg and don't find the X-mas market here very special...just average compared to germany. This bein said, Luxembourg is a nice place to visit

I love Christmas markets, and visit them regularly. Luxembourg is a lovely city, with very freindly people and great food, and the Christmas market is very pretty and atmospheric, but it is tiny. You would exhaust it in a morning. For a weekend break, you would be better off in Cologne
