I am planning a summer vacation in prague in june and i am thinking of visiting Slovenia for 2 days then get back to prague.
first of all i 'd like to know what is the mean of transportation throughwhich i can go to slovenia from prague and then back and how long does this trip take, it will be helpful as well if you advised the average price for a round trip ticket either bus or train
i need as well your recommendation for the top attractions sights that i have to visit in slovenia
thanks alot for your help

If you hurry up you can book some reasonably priced flights from Prague to Ljubljana. It is also possible to use train - but the price is not much lower and the trains are terribly slow, late, inefficient and uncomfortable in this part of Europe.
For the attractions see some of the older forum posts. You shouldn't miss Ljubljana, Bled, Piran and possibly the caves near Postojna.

I checked the prices:
- at the moment the return plane ticket costs about 235 EUR/person
- the train is much cheaper than the plane but it takes 25 hours (!) to get from Prague to Ljubljana
Ljubljana 9:27 23:50
Salzburg Hbf 14.02 -
Linz Hbf 15:35 4:09
Praha hl.n. 20:40 11:40
Praha hl. n. 17:16 7:16
Linz Hbf - 12:32
Salzburg Hbf 1:34 14:12
Ljubljana 6:03 18:31

If couldn't believe that it can take 25 hours to get from Ljubljana to Prague - this is a discount ticket - so I checked other options. The regular rail ticket gets you there in 11 hours.

Thanks alot Marjan for your great help
this is indeed very much helpful- apparently the train isnt an option to slovenia and i think the plane is a bit over budget for me so i need your advise about something
is it feasable to cut 2 days from my visit to prague and visit any near by city other than slovenia outside czech by train or would you recommend and cancel the idea of getting out czech and rather visit czech cities other than prague
thanks alot for your cooperation

I am sorry, I know almost nothing about Check republic. I visited Prague twice and it's a magnificent and wonderful city certainly worth visiting. I also visited southern part, Trešt and Telč, and they are very nice, too. Vienna is not so far away (also the train connections are better, 5 hours ride) and it's certainly worth seeing.

If you have stamina, take an over night train trip to Lake Bled (via Vienna).
Check timetables at http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en
I think this is the best train connections searcher for Europe (Try Lisbon-Vladivostok).
I found this connection from Prague to Bled:
Station/Stop Time Platform Products
Praha hl.n. dep 00:37 EN 477 R 407
Wien Meidling arr 06:21 8
Wien Meidling dep 06:30 6 OEC 731 ÖBB-EC
Villach Hbf arr 10:44 5
Villach Hbf dep 10:52 1 IC 313 Intercity
Lesce Bled arr 11:49
