A place where we can go to work on our relationship through activities or counseling. I know certain counselors have special ones they put on, or then there are things like Miraval in Arizona. I was just hoping someone had some experience with one in California or Oregon, or knew about them. Thanks!! :)

I think the Esalen Institute is just what you're looking for. www.esalen.org It's a gorgeous piece of property with natural hot spring baths over the ocean in Big Sur (northern Cal). There are tons of weekend and 5-day workshops on relationships, yoga, meditation, massage, healing, etc. etc. The Amtrak will take you to Salinas. From there you'd need to take a bus to Monterey, and then Esalen has transportation from Monterey. Check it out. I think you'll love it.

If you tell us the number of people expected, maybe we could narrow down some possibilities. IOW, is this one couple looking for a retreat, or something like a church, employer, or organization looking for a place to accommodate many couples?
