(TGA) - Travel - I have been kicking around the idea of visiting Bulgaria. I heard about the rose festival which sounds phenomenal and also heard that the beaches are beautiful and the shopping is very good. I thought about combining visiting Bulgaria with other places and saw the Mediterranean cruises but they are so very expensive!! Plus I wasn't sure if I would be so interested in Turkey and Ukraine.
Does anyone have any experiences or suggestions about Bulgaria? To give you an idea of what we like, my husband and I are in our 40's, no young children, like to sight see and go, go, go on our vacations. We try to pack in as much as possible. We will try daring things like cliff jumping and are somewhat active.
Any advice about Bulgaria would be appreciated. (Also, we are looking at 2011 -- planning is half the fun!)

A good site to get an impression of some sites - http://www.seebg.net/
Here you can make a virtual trip around Bulgaria. The English version includes navigation in English. However the description of sites is in Bulgarian, but there are lots of pictures and panorama views. - http://www.bulgaria-vr.com/en/map.html

I'm thinking about taking a tour with Neophron Tours -
www.neophron.com
They have a fantastic nature/wine tasting/cultural tour that includes all food, wine tastings, hotel, transfers, etc.
Is this a well-known company? Can I pay my deposit on this trip via American Express? When I inquired, they mentioned that I can wire the money to their bank, which I don't think would be a good idea since I am not familiar with this company.....

The final choice is yours.
