(TGA) - can someone explain why cyprus property is advertised in both euros and cyprus pounds. I thought cyprus was in euroland so why the 2 currencies? the CY pound is almost two thirds more in value than the english pound.

this is because for a while they have to display what the price would be in cyp and the price in euro you are right abot the cyp being more in value my son has a mortage which he took out in cyp 43,000 on the advice of the estate agent now when the euro came in the amount was changed to70,000 . euro he would have been better off at the time3 years ago takeing the loan out in euro over there when it had a higher value .
