(TGA) - Does anyone have experience with a day trip from Zurich to Heidiland and Liechtenstein? We are two adults with child (2.5 years) who would like to go in late March to Zurich. This day tour looks like an interesting opportunity to go to two places that I would not otherwise make a specific trip to. But if we are already in Zurich, why not? I am thinking that it is easier to take a tour rather than trying to do this on our own via train etc, as we have the child to consider. Suggestions or alternatives appreciated.

This is a nice area and one of my favored corners in Switzerland. I always travel there by car. Maienfeld is a very pretty village located at bit uphill and gives an very pleasant view through the vineyards onto the plain. I hope the tour will pass by the tiny town of Werdenberg near Buchs and stop there for a visit before it continues to Vaduz. If the return route to Zurich is through the Toggenburg mountain valley than you have had a truly spectacular excursion, well the trip via St Gallen is also nice, you can't go wrong.
