(TGA) - We are a small group of three friends planning to drive during the second week of April from Austria to Italy via Switzerland.
We will be doing this for about 10 days.
Planning to drive for three days each in Austria and Switzerland.
I have done some research on renting a car and have finalised Auto Europe.
we want to rent the car from Innsbruck and return it at Vienna after travelling Switzerland and Italy, also covering Nice and Monaco on the way.
my question is: is it okay to take such a road trip in the month of April in Austria and Switzerland? Will it snow on the roads and do we have to take special precautions to drive during this period?
We have an option to take this trip on the month of June also, as our visa expires only by 23rd of June. but as we have the urge to do it now so we want to do it immediately if the weather is not so bad please advice.

If you do not intend to drive up the mountains, you do not have to worry at all. And even down in the valleys you won't see a lot of snow! The winter season is just over. I am more concerned about your dense itinerary which includes four countries in 10 days. That's a lot!
