(TGA) - I was planning on spending 8 nights on just the island of Rhodes, but let me ask a ? if I only spent 5 nights on Rhodes and decided on Chania, Crete or Kos for 3 nights, then fly back to Athens which island would you recommend? Which is the best way to Chania and how long would it take? Will be in Rhodes mid- July. Chania and Kos both look great, Thanks Danny and Kay.

If you only have 2 days then it's an easy choice based on logistics. Kos is simply much easier and quicker to reach (2-3 hours by ferry) and smaller so much more worthwhile than Crete for a short time.
There is no point in going into travelling to Chania - soon as you got there you would have to depart.....

Hey and welcome IrishDanny:-) Have to agree..logistics alone would make Kos the choice here! Crete is a distance from Rhodes..and given your alloted time, IMO, wouldn't make sense heading all the way over there for barely a couple of days! Crete is huge and a destination on it's own..Best to save it for when you have the time on your next adventure;) Chances are, you WILL be back! Have fun and ENjoy!

thanks a lot for the advice. I knew Chania would take most of the day to reach and I only have 8 nights. I believe we will stay 5 nights Rhodes, 3 Kos then home. this is our third trip to the islands and still have not seened Chania. It is a long journey to the islands for me, mabye next time.Thanks,Danny and Kay
