(TGA) - I want to go to Iceland in July 2010. I cannot deicde to go with gate 1 travel or collette. Has anyone went to iceland with either of these companies???

That would be the first year, that Globus has no Iceland tours. I myself have driven and guided Iceland tours for Globus in the past years. I just sent them a request about it, let´s see what they say.

While I am kind of anti-group tour, I think the Gate 1 Travel trip looks really nice with a decent price. I used Gate 1 Travel in the past for an independent tour of Italy (they set up the air travel, train travel and hotels only) and had no problems with them whatsoever.

You´re right, Globus has no Iceland tours this summer, it´s the firs summer for many years !
Have a look at www.gjtravel.is a very reliable tour operator in Iceland, they served Globus for years.

I can only offer that I have gone with Gate1 to Egypt, Turkey, and Jordan on three separate trips and they are amazing. They have outstanding guides, hotels and sites. I have been so impressed with their packages I can recommend them highly for their value. Sorry, can't contribute anything about Iceland but don't hesitate to try Gate1! I just used them last month for Jordan.
