(TGA) - Travel - I am planning a trip from Romania --> Bulgaria --> Macedonia -->Turkey
I have a question on the Bulgaria section.
I will get in Bulgaria at Varna from Constanta and then go to Veliko Tarnovo. After V.T., I want to go to Sofia, Kazanlak and Plovdiv. And I am struggling what is the best way to do this.
1. V.T. --> Kazanlak --> Sofia --> Macedonia --> Plovdiv --> Istanbul
2. V.T. -->Sofia-->Macedonia-->Plovdiv-->Kazanlak-->Plovdiv-->Istanbul
The major problem is to go to Kazanlak, which I cannot find information on the web, so dont know what is the possible way. By the way, I cant drive. So, my option is limited to bus and train.
Thank you !

Macedonia is a big detour, especially Ohrid, where I suppose you are headed to.
http://bdz.bg/ - trains timetable
http://www.bgrazpisanie.com/ - buses timetable (not 100 % reliable)
I would recommend the first option, but modified:
VT - Kazanak - Plovdiv - Sofia - Macedonia - Sofia - Istanbul
The reason is that the easiest way to go directly to Istanbul is from Sofia - one night train and lots of buses.
http://www.centralnaavtogara.bg/ - buses from Sofia to anywhere in Bulgaria and abroad (reliable)
* All sites above have English versions.
