(TGA) - So, last year my hubby and I went to WI Dells for the first time. We went on a Wednesday/Thursday night to avoid lots of kids and crowds. We stayed at the Chula Vista and enjoyed our time.
We are planning to go again this year. We thought about trying out a new place. We were looking at Wilderness or Great Wolf.
We want to stay somewhere where we don't have to go outside to get to the water park We also dont want to go somewhere and find that the majority of their stuff is shut down for the winter or the weekdays.
What do you recommend?

Like you, we have stayed at Chula Vista in the middle of the week before and really enjoyed it- especially because we got one of their 99$ a night all inclusive specials. No indoor wave pool though, at least when we were there.
I have stayed at Wilderness in the summer with family and love their indoor waterparks. There are three indoor ones, so the action is more spread out as opposed to Kalahari where it is one giant park. I think the Hurricane at Wilderness is the best ride I've been on. I do believe as long as you stay in the main hotel part you can get to everything without going outside. They also have a game room and mini golf now. However, looking on their website there is a link for waterpark hours. At least in November, they appear to be alternating closures for two of the three water parks during weekdays (the one with the wave pool is always open, but one of the other two is closed). If the one with the Hurricane was closed while I was there, I would be hugely disappointed.
I've never stayed at Great Wolf so I don't know what to tell you about it. I have stayed at the Kalahari and actually didn't like the rides as much as either Chula Vista or Wilderness. It and Great Wolf are very close to the interstate, and at least at Kalahari our room did have some road noise.
I'm guessing you'll have fun no matter what, and at that time of the year in the middle of the week should find some stellar deals.
