(TGA) - My sisters and I visited Vermont just before the Columbus Day weekend, 10/7-10/10. We stayed in Chester in a wonderful apartment and found it one of the many perfect places from which to take day trips. Who knows if we hit peak foliage or not? Everywhere we looked was beautiful and inspiring. We started out heading to Grafton and their cheese company, then down the road to Townshend and Newfane, over Putney Mt. Rd. to Putney, up 91 to Norwich and the King Arthur Baker's Store (maybe a long run for a short slide), then home in the dark through Springfield. Next day we wandered through Andover to Weston (did we pass another car at all?) shooting many photos along this pretty road. Spent the better part of the day in Weston at their excellent Craft Show and back to Chester to peek in at the quilt shop before closing, ending the day in twilight photographing Chester Depot's stone houses. We're already planning next year's trip--so many roads and shops left to explore. Great trip!
