(TGA) - Hi there!
Im an Aussie who's recently acquired a British Passport through my dad. Im looking at moving to the UK in 2 years time but ideally I would love to live in Denmark for 6 months to a year. Although I've been to Denmark a number of times for a holiday I cannot speak the Danish language. I would love to hear from some expats that might be able to make my dream become reality.
How easy would it for me to live and find work in this country?
Can anyone give me some links as to where to start?
Cheers for the replies in advance!

Hi,
I’m not an expat – but a ”real” Dane… who work in an international insurance company in Copenhagen.
As you already know everybody speaks English and a happy to do so on a one to one basis. But Danish is our native language – and we easily get tired of speaking English – specially when we are in mixed groups..
At my workplace we have some English speaking people and they have some problems ex. during lunch break etc.
And also Danes do not socialize that much with their colleges – so some of my English colleges find it hard to find Danish friends.
Don’t know if that for any help. If you have any specific question I’m more than happy to help you.

I saw your post earlier today but wasn't planning on posting since I'm certainly not an expert. (I obviously changed my mind about posting!).
My initial thought was: "do you speak or understand Danish?" If not, that's a real tough one. I worked for several years at Copenhagen Kastrup Airport (years ago!) but I have no problems understanding Danish and making myself understood. Without that ability, I really don't see how this could be feasible unless you find a VERY unique job!
