Long weekend in Rehoboth Beach, DE and need lodging advice. › Rehoboth Beach

We'll be traveling to Rehoboth Beach in Delaware in May and need to find lodging. Prefer not to stay in a hotel or motel. My preference is for a small cottage with kitchen that we can rent for a reasonable, off-season rate for about $100/day. Barring that, a nice room at a victorian-style inn for about the same price

HI,

If you search hotels in Rehoboth on you can select either Hotels, B&B/INNS, Specialty Lodging Or Vacation Rentals. So you can see other options in the area besides just the hotels. Since you said "off season" in May...I'm assuming you are visiting before Memorial Day. Around Memorial Day the rates will increase.

I'm not sure about cottages, but one INN you might consider would the the Sea Witch Manor INN & Spa. It meets the Victorian style criteria, but the rates are higher than what you are looking for. They run average 450-465 for 2 people for 2 nights. You can get a discount if you book ahead of time and pay cash upfront. http://www.seawitchmanor.com/

The Homestead B & B runs around 130-165 a night for 2 people. It is NOT in downtown and NOT within walking distance of the beach. It is a victorian farmhouse that was converted to a B&B and spa. It is pet friendly. BUT, you would have to drive into downtown still & pay the parking meters. http://homesteadatrehoboth.com/

Something that would be in your price range would be Holly Haven Retreat. They rent rooms for 80 a night. They offer family, single, and off day rates too. It is close to the beach. It is not victorian, but it might be something you are interested in. http://holly-haven.com/

Well, I wish I could be more help. I am lucky & have family in the area. SO, I am not too much help when it comes to hotels and such. I hope this helps some though. Happy planning!!
