(TGA) - Hi,

I will be traveling with two friends of mine in Luxembourg this June.

We are spending one full day in Luxembourg city, then the next we want to go on a bike ride from Diekirch to Vianden to see the castle.

Is it a better idea to rent the bikes in Luxembourg city at the Youth Hostel, where we are staying and bring them on the train, or to just rent them in Diekirch?

And are there places to leave your bike safely in Vianden?

Leave early, take the bike in Luxembourg and return alongside the rivers Sûre and Our via Echternach to catch the train at Wasserbillig. Trier is not far now and there is a nice bicycle path along the Mosel river. The days are long in June. Don't know where to park the bikes safely.

Thank you. Will the LuxembourgCard work for the train to Trier from Wasserbiling? And then from Trier back to Luxembourg city?

Probably not, inquire when you buy the LC. Otherwise you can get a day ticket for Trier which is € 8,40 from any railway station.
