Malta to Pozzallo would take 90 minutes. Malta to Catania would take 3 hours.

Petralia Soprana is quite rural and doesn’t have a train station. Neither Pozzallo nor Catania would be very convenient arrival points for Petralia Soprana – Hiring a car or a private transfer would be your best options. You would appreciate a car in the Madonie. The Madonie is served by buses.

Ryanair also flies from Malta to Trapani. Interbus is two hours from Trapani to Palermo.
