(TGA) - We want to go either to Oregon or Washington in September to hike and play golf. Which state of the two is best ?

It's a tossup, really. Oregon does have a nicer coastline and Bandon Dunes Golf Course is one of the top ranked in the nation.

I may be biased but I would choose Oregon. You can hike in The Gorge, along the coast, Mt Hood, Bend area and also golf at any of those places. The Oregon Coast line is stunning!
