You want www.pkp.pl for poland and www.zsr.sk for the slovak republic. In both countries fares are inexpensive.

This one might be better for the Slovakian fares - when you put your starting point and destination in it will give you the fares information. NB this only works for inland journeys.
Also this one http://cp.atlas.sk/vlakbus/spojenie/ (English button bottom right) which also gives you information about buses and the prices thereof.
