(TGA) - My husband and I plan to drive in our RV during the last week of April from Asheville, NC to St. Simon's Island,GA. On this leg of our trip, we have a couple of days to ramble from north to south slowly on beautiful roads and to find pretty little towns. We have never been in this area at all. We would love suggestions for especially pretty routes, pretty towns, any place to stay away from.
If you know any really pretty RV parks that would be a bonus.

441 is nice, going through Madison, Milledgeville, and Dublin.

I agree with 441 and Lake Sinclair is near Milledgeville and will have RV parks. Check also www.gastateparks.org for a listing of RV parks in Georgia park system.

Another vote for US 441 -- take I-40 west from Asheville, get on US 74/US 23 near Clyde, then south on 441 at Dillsboro.
Waynesville, Sylva, Dillsboro, Dillard, Mountain City, Clayton, and Tallulah Falls are all nice mountain towns worth a stop. Waynesville is probably the largest and has a lively downtown area with lots of shops and restaurants, but it's only 45 minutes or so out of Asheville, which might be too soon to stop.
