Road Trip through SE Utah & SW Colorado Completed › Moab

(TGA) - To see highlights of the national and state parks, and other attractions from a ten day itinerary that originated out of Grand Junction, CO, and covered stays in Moab, Bluff, Cortez, Ouray, and back to Grand Junction, enter with the password NORTHWOODSORBUST at: www.pictorialtravelogues.shutterfly.com/

Open the album for May 2009 SE Utah and SW Colorado with the Dewey Bridge on the cover.

Our trips are all about the scenery so maybe this armchair tour will help those of you interested in seeing how much ground you can cover with 8-1/2 days on the road.

Lots of nice pictures there and you did cover some ground in 8-1/2 days. That car museum at Gateway is in an out of the way place. Was there anyone else there with you?

Just a note I needed to enter 'northwoodsorbust' in lower case for it to work, not upper case.

Tried the password about 5 times.....in UPPER case. Does not seem to work. Is the password still NORTHWOODSORBUST?

Sorry about the password--I was trying to make it stand out from the rest of the text. Yes, it does require lower case.

Noel-Donna, my husband was with me at the auto museum. It was more interesting to us than the Black Canyon of the Gunnison by that time as we had already seen so many outstanding landscapes throughout the previous week. The museum is extremely well done with intresting background decors for the different period autos.

Our route ran from Cortez to Durango, up to Ouray, then across the Dallas Divide from Ridgway to Telluride, up to the Hanging Flume at Uravan, and along river gorge to Gateway--all in all, a scenic route.

I was hesitant to post the link to my photos as I didn't know whether anyone would be interested. So, thanks to all of you who took time to view them and for your kind feedback.

I haven't had a chance to look yet, but I have to give you kudos for your creativity on posting. I'm still struggling with the best way to post and where to post. I enjoy reading the TR's and want to payback the favor. Thanks for the idea, and I look forward to seeing the pix. We posted on Picassa so friends and family could follow us, so maybe I'll created a link there or in Shutterfly. I had thought of this before but had never seen it done.

Maybe you'll start a trend! (or it's been done and I just didn't know it, anyway, it's the first time for both of us).
