(TGA) - Hello I am travelling to Finland in april. I will be in Rovaniemi between the 2nd and 5th of April? What are the chances for me to experience an Aurora?
Does Finland have any aurora forecasting site like Alaska does ?
Thanks in advance.

You'll be in Rovaniemi during Easter. In April the daylight time is already longer than the night, but it still gets dark in the evening, so you may be able to see them - providing that the sky is clear and the solar activity high.
You may use the aurora forecast of Alaska also for Finland, since it's related to the solar activity and solar wind, so it does not hit only Alaska, but the entire circumpolar area.
There is a Finnish forecast system that sends email automatically when probability to see Auroras is high. You can join their mailing list by sending a blank email to aurorasnow-feed@posti.fmi.fi . You can resign from the mailing by sending an email from the same address you used for signing in to aurorasnow-off@posti.fmi.fi. The messages you will get from the service looks like XYDERIV=371 telling how big the magnetic storm is. If the value exceeds 30 one can even see Auroras in Southern Finland.
