(TGA) - Travel - Hi! I've been struggling with our itinerary for Slovenia and was hoping for some expert help. We'd like to combine 6 nights in Slovenia with 2 nights in Istria. While in Slovenia, we want to be sure to go to Bohinj/Bled and the Skocjan Caves. We will be renting a car. Does this make sense?
2 nights in Ljubljana
2 nights in Rovinj
2 nights in the Karst region
2 nights at Lake Bohinj
I'm unsure whether we need 2 nights in the Karst region or are better off staying 3 at Lake Bohinj and just driving around fro there. Also, any suggestions for a great Tourist Farm in the Karst region not too far from the Skocjan Caves? Am I missing any "musts go" places?
Thanks so much!!!!

1 day in Ljubljana is enough. In the Karst region you should see the caves, you may also want to see Predjama castle and the Lipizan horses. It takes a while to get there - but you may also want to see Štanjel village. You can stop for a day in Ljubljana (no need to spend a night in Ljubljana) (maybe also Škofja Loka) on your way from Bohinj to Karst. On the way to Rovinj you can stop in Piran. While at Bohinj you should also visit Bled, possibly also Kranjska gora and (maybe) Bovec.

Marjan, why Kranjska gora?

Thanks that's so helpful! Any advice on a tourist farm where we can stay so that we're in a good location for all the places to visit in the Karst region?

G'day mate! where are you in Oz?
Try our itinerary page at www.sloveniaforyou.com/Itineraries.htm to see if any of those fit into your plan.
1 day is probably enough in Ljubljana, 2 days in BledBohinj, 2 days in Karst if you include SkocjanLipicaPostojnaPredjamaStanjel
and maybe a day in Bovec or Kobarid along the way.
As for a good tourist farm near Skocjan, try www.hudicevec.com/ENG/
