Hi, sorry it's not the West coast, but I've had mine done in Dublin Art Tattoo by Mikey. He did a recent unusual piece for me, it's beautifully done with clear lines, he's fast and accurate and a really nice guy. Sorry I don't have a number or URL to hand but I'm sure they'll be easy to find. Dublin Art Tattoo is in the former studio of Karen Russell's Sacred Tattoo in Temple Bar, Dublin. If you've got tattoos already you'll know to check the artists previous work, very important to check work of a similar style to what you want. Some artists are better in black and white and others in colour etc. On average, in Dublin, you'll spend €100 per hour. I'm guessing outside Dublin will be cheaper. Happy tatting!

Does anyone know where Karen Russell (former owner of Sacred Art) is now? I had a piece done by her back in 2000. I'm returning to Ireland this year and was hoing to have her do another one for me. I can't find her ANYWHERE on the internet, though.

Karen moved in 2005 and opened up her own shop in Kinsale with her boyfriend Don, called 7Roses.

Hi there,

I am going to cork in 3 weeks time. I have been on several forums and Zoo Tattoo seems to be getting the best reviews. Can anyone tell me if they have had any cover up tattoos done there?

After a drunken weekend in Roermond (Holland) I ended up with a tazmanian devil on my upper right arm and have been hell bent on getting it covered up since it happened (all of nearly 10 years ago now)

I have quite a few other tattoos, mostly tribal and I am looking to get this covered up with I am over In ireland. I know it will prob have to be quite big to cover this as the Taz at widest and longest points is about 8cm long by 5 cm wide. I dont mind it going up to my shoulder and coming down to the inside of my elbow.

Anyone know or had any cover ups done in Cork?

Thanks

Andy
