(TGA) - I am planning a trip to Croatia in March and am looking for advice on the best way to travel into the country. Is air or train best? And from which cities do trains run into Croatia? Thanks.

Not sure where you are coming from so hard to answer your question. But all in all I think it might be best to fly into Croatia. Any idea where you want to visit?

We are flying to Europe from the US and plan on beginning our trip in Croatia. Probably start in Split and work our way north along before eventually heading to Italy. I was thinking it might be best/cheapest to fly into Munich (or some other large city) and either rent a car or take a train to get to Croatia.
Do you know of any websites that search European airlines...there are so many that it is difficult to search for the best deal.
Thanks for any advice you can provide!

Look to fly from the US into London and then look to take a flight from there to either Dubrovnik or Split. I really think if you are going to Croatia that you should look at spending at least a couple of days in Dubrovnik before moving north.

If you are flying to UK or Germany, there is a great website, www.skyscanner.net which searches all the airlines, including the budget airlines and lets you know the flights and flight prices. You do not book through this website it's for information purposes only. I agree with the previous poster who recommended car hire instead of trains.
