(TGA) - We have reserved the Ri-Yaz Heritage for 3 days in early march. I was contemplating the possibility of visiting nearby Islands such as Redang, Perhentian, Lang Tangah or Kapas. What would the most convenient and economical way of going about a day trip or perhaps and island hopping tour of some sort ?
How far is the Jetty from from the Ri-Yas Heritage hotel ?

If you stay at Ri Yaz Heritage...my advise Redang Island are the nearest .Its take 20 minutes from Ri Yaz to Syahbandar Jetty ..getaway to Redang Island by Sejahtera Ferry.
For Redang Island..spend 2 Night much more worth it.

Or Kapas Island...would be choice for day trips...earliest boat depart at 9.30am....and last boat around 5.00pm...Its take 30 minutes from Riyaz to Marang Jetty.Recommended for day trips..
Perhentian Island its take 2 hour from Kuala Terengganu by car...Kuala Besut jetty main getaway to Perhentian.

Big Thank you for the information, the web link provided us a ton of useful information. Unfortunately at most I can stay at redang for only 1 night, therefore the 3D/2N package, which provides good value doesn't work for me . I am looking for 1N package, not sure if such an option is available. We're not big time snorkeling folks we just want to enjoy the nice beachs and crystal clear water in this region, in that regard I my hunch tells me that Redang a lot more prettier than Kapas etc...
I was looking at the ferry stops within Redang Island and I see that it stops at :
Pasir Panjang Beach and Kampong Jetty ....
Pasir Pajang Beach , I suppose is the long beach where most of the resorts including the Laguna etd. and all are located and I am not sure where this Kampong Jetty is.
Does this ferry take us upto the Berjaya in Redang as well ?

Yes...Ferry will take you to Kampong Jetty..Then Berjaya staff will come to pick up by using Shuttle Van to the Resort..journey will take 15 minutes only.
