(TGA) - Hi
Travelling to Denmark & Sweden/need to be in Copenhagen & Gothenburg for a weekend early in 2010 from Dublin, Ireland and was wondering:
Flying to Denmark or Sweden
1. Is it better to fly into Denmark or Sweden?
2. Are the airports Ryanair fly to near to Gothenburg or Copenhagen/where would be easier to base myself?
Travelling from Gothenburg to Copenhagen
3. What is the best way to travel from G to C?
4. How long does it take?
5. And what website can I book tickets on?
I know it's a lot of questions, but any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

Generally there are many more flights to Copenhagen than to Gothenburg, but if you want to fly Ryanair, you will be a bit more limited. Ryanair does not fly to Copenhagen but they do fly to Gothenburg City Airport.
Best way to travel between Gothenburg and Copenhagen is by train. 3.0-3.5 hours. To check timetables and prices check the website for the Swedish Railroads (Statens Järnvägar, or SJ for short):
Click on English, upper right
You want to travel between Göteborg C and Köbenhavn H but if you type in "Gothenburg" and "Copenhagen" I think it will automatically take care of the "translation". You just need to click on it after you see the names.

As mentioned Ryan Air flies to Gothenburg City Airport (GSE), the airport is located in a suburb called Säve, about 16 km from the city. It's actually not so remote that the airports Ryan usually flies to. There is scheduled buss service from the airport in to the city, a 30-40 minutes ride. The main Gothenburg airport, Göteborg Landvetter Airport (GOT) is located 26 km from the city in the municipality of Landvetter
Easyjet flies to Copenhagen, also as mentioned train is viable option, but there are buss services also between the cities; www.swebussexpress.se
