I like Bing and Fare Compare to find flights and deals right now
but it changes all the time depends which can give me the best deal.
the best deal does not always mean lowest price there is much more involved on intenational flights
like type of plane setting arrangements how much baggage and weight allowance time the flight leaves time the flight arrives how much layover time too little or too much. which airport you transfer thru. do you know or trust the airline you are flying on
but don't stick with just one site check as many as you can.
My last trip I had done my research knew what I was looking for and what was available I had 12 differents sites all opened at the same time going back and forth until I found the best flight for me at a price I was willing to pay.

I usually run research using kayak (which pulls from several) and skyscanner. They give me ideas on potential routings, then I check out the airlines. That is a fairly unique destination, let alone starting point. Right now it looks like UA and LH are your best bets for a fare. Doing a quick search, I found the cheaper prices on the UA site than I did on the primary 3rd party sites.

I never thought to just check with the a carrier UA was about the same as Orbitz and a couple others.. about the cheapest so far has been $4380 for all three of us..
Who knows how much it will be when we get ready to purchase in May since gas is going up..
