(TGA) - Traveling by car from Seville, Spain to southern Portugal. Could you give me some suggestions of places not to miss?

Where is your final destination in "souther Portugal"? Some of the things I would suggest you could see are possibly a long way beyond your intended target!

We plan to travel southern Spain coming up from Cadez to Seville and over into southern Portugal and make way back to Madrid. Planning on 5 days in southern Portugal. Thanks

I'd suggest the coastal scenery. Just keep as close to the coast as you can and head down any road/track with a brown sign with a beach hut on it, some of the best coastal scenery in Europe - in my opinion.
Caldas de Monchique is also worth a visit, as is Sagres and the most westerly point of Europe.
Most of the coastal towns are very touristy but Lagos retains some of the old town charm as does Ferrugado. Contrary to popular opinion I also think that the old town of Albufeira has a charm once you get away from the bars and restaurants - also these are invaluable for food and frolics!
You don't say what time of year you'll be visiting. It can get very busy and difficult to park in some places in July/August but the rest of the year is normally OK.
