(TGA) - Hello,
I apologize if this seems like a dumb question, but if the transport strike happens, will this affect trains as well? (ie, ones going around czech republic, and trains/expressbuses between czech republic and germany?)
Thanks for the help, I appreciate it...

No, the trains should run as normal,as well as the DB express bus to Nuremberg and AE from the airport to the Central station.

Thank you so much for your response--so in other words, the Cezh railway system should be ok to use during the strike (say, if I needed to go from Prague to Ostrava, etc?)..just wanted to make sure I can at least make those trips...and then get back to Prague via train to get back to Germany..
Again, thanks for being most helpful! I really, really appreciate it :)

Hope your hotel is not too far from the station as you most likely will have to walk there if the strike is on. The trains will run as normal.

It is only the Prague public transport system (DPP) that is potentially going to be affected if the strike goes ahead.

... and the nightmare scenario is that if it does go ahead (which seems more and more likely, but there are still 6 hours to sort something out) the roads will be completely jammed, so although the trains might not be affected, buses almost definitely will take longer to get through, but it is completely unknown as to what the situation will actually be like.
I reckon people will just take a few days off work - but of course it would cause chaos on the roads. I would stay clear of buses, or just play it by ear.

Put this through Google translate …nova.cz/zpravy/regionalni/stavka-mhd-v-praz…
It is from TV Nova, which tends to be a bit sensationalist - sort of like Fox news - but it seems to be the general view
